Success. What Does It Mean to You?

How do you define success for yourself?

Is it the amount of money you earn, the type of car you drive, or the title you are given at work?  Or do you define success as something like being faithful as a husband or investing in the life of your children?  Maybe it is about giving money to a non-profit or mentoring a protege who needs direction.  Whatever success is to you, you need to define it and understand it, otherwise you will never attain it.

I also think you have to be really careful in your definition.

You may think what will make you happy really doesn’t … and then you have wasted your time in a useless pursuit.  We are all going to die someday (as much as I dislike saying that) and there will be things that we may look back on and smile about and others that will leave bitter tastes of regret.

My advice to you and to myself is that we truly evaluate what real success means in our heart.  We only get one shot at life.

It took me a long time to learn that success is a journey not a destination.

You have a choice every day so make it as successful as you can and do it again the next day.

Never forget life was meant to be happy, healthy and abundant!

Excellent thoughts Bob! We DO have a choice everyday and the opportunity to seize it if we just try.
