Get Slightly Famous

Cory Miller hooked me up with a book called Get Slightly Famous by Steven Van Yoder the other day and it is full of great information for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and freelancers.  One of the things Yoder hits upon on in his chapter,  The Brand is You, is the need to invest in your brand.

“In the information age, brand marketing, which creates an emotional connection between a product an its audience and sets itself apart from the crowd, is more important than ever.  Your brand should be your best defense against a cynical world.”

I couldn’t agree more!  It IS absolutely essential to establish that emotional connection with your target audience in way that  helps you break through the crowd – and it also has to be authentic.

How will you build that meaningful relationship with your clients or customers in a cynical world?
