I just launched the new Oklahoma Patriots football team website (www.okpatriots.com) using the iTeam theme I created at iThemes.  It has been a blast to work on and I think it’s going to be really cool for sports teams.  One of the reason’s I developed this theme is because most sports websites just don’t measure up to the web standards we use today and are extremely difficult to update.  Plus they don’t have the cool features we built in to iTeam.

Last Friday night I sat in my chair posting updates for both the Junior High and Varsity teams between plays through the Live Twitter feed.  This gives people who can’t make the game the opportunity to keep up with the scores and the plays.  We also have the scoreboard that can be updated after the game.  And we have the rotating images and Flickr account so we can post action photos from the football games.

All in all I am very pleased with our iTeam theme and can’t wait to use it for my soccer website.  If you have a team site, check out iTeam from iThemes.  I think you will really like it…and of course I am biased towards my own stuff.  LOL.
