My family and I had the opportunity to visit Boston on Wednesday night. Almost every person we told that we were going there said that we shouldn’t go, that the people are rude, and that I would repeatedly be told that “I am Number One!” Let me ask you a few questions:

  • How do people see your brand?
  • Are they painting the picture accurately?
  • What image have you burned into people’s minds?

These are just a few questions that are really important to consider whether you are a church, a business, and even a city. I thought that it was sad that such a historical and meaningful city such as Boston has such a negative image in people’s minds – but I was pleasantly surprised that our experience didn’t turn out that way. The people we asked for help were extremely friendly, the atmosphere excellent, and not one person told me that I was “Number One”.
